Fiduciary
While 'fiduciary duty' sounds legalistic and is easy to gloss over, it's quite important. It is my legal duty to put your interests before my interests in every instance.

Not everyone offering financial advice has a fiduciary duty to their clients. Registered Investment Advisors are held to this 'fiduciary' standard. Brokers and their registered reps are exempt from this standard, and held to a lesser 'suitability' standard.

Code of Ethics and Fiduciary Oath
As a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), I abide by their Code of Ethics and Fiduciary Oath. As a Certified Financial Planner, I also abide by the Code of Ethics set forth by the CFP Board.

Fee-Only
As a fee-only firm, Lazarus Financial Planning (LFP) is compensated from only one
source - you, the client.

LFP does not sell products and does not receive commissions from any source.

LFP does not accept referral fees or compensation of any kind from any third party source.

This compensation model protects you from any potential conflicts of interest that may arise from other compensation models, such as commissioned, fee-based, or fee-offset. The result: objective advice.
