Six Month Financial Planning Retainer
The Six Month Financial Planning Retainer is designed to guide individuals and couples through the financial planning process over a period of 6 months. The issues we’ll examine fall within the following core areas: life goals, cash flow & debt management, tax, insurance, education, retirement, estate, and investments.
There are typically 3-6 meetings and they are very collaborative in nature with a mix of education, discussion, and strategy. I help you articulate and prioritize your goals, explain your options in clear language, create exhibits with appropriate analysis to enable you to make informed decisions, and provide you with a written summary of our discussions.
Since implementing your plan is so critical to your planning process, I provide you with detailed Action Lists and implementation assistance within the 6 month period.
Cash Flow Planning
Cash Flow Planning looks at cash flow in a new way one that will help you get beyond living paycheck to paycheck. Our initial cash flow meeting will be about 2 hours in length. We’ll discuss your goals and priorities, safety nets to put into place, setting your intention for the year and tracking your expenses. We’ll talk about how to adjust the plan as the year unfolds, keeping it alive and central to your financial decisions. You’re free to use any cash flow system (such as Quicken or a notebook), but I will offer to provide you with an Excel-based cash flow program I developed.
This service is provided at an hourly rate basis and payment is due at the completion of each meeting. Typically, the hourly rate for cash flow planning is $160 an hour.
You choose how often you want to come back to review your cash flow. Several clients have found it helpful to come back periodically as they learn healthy cash flow habits. This may be appropriate for you, but at the very least, I recommend that you plan to come back for at least one to two follow-up meetings.
